La Serenissima photography exhibition at Coral Coffee in Darlinghurst, Sydney

Nearly three years after embarking on  the epic journey of printing my album of Three Weeks in Venice. The large A3+ prints that I made with a view to holding an exhibition are finally on display. In fact this is my second recent show in this space the first being a series of images of the harbour pool at Redleaf - but that's another story!

There are 13 large prints in the show, of La Serenissima, 9 A3+ (33cm x 48cm) and 4 A4 ( 30cm x 21cm) prints. But that is not all - there is also a random-ish selection of shots, night in the Piazza, inside grand spaces, water, water, portraits, and us (Viv and I) having fun! A snapshot of the album in other words, 31 A6 prints as a mural on the column as you enter the cafe. I like it, many lovely pictures getting a small outing too.

Exhibition cards for La Serenissima, Venice.
Can you read that text on the back of the Exhibition card? Those cards from when I was making my Venice Album using cheap generic Dye inks, which shock-horror are not very stable! Why did I use them - price. And they look great, for a while. Actually quite a long while if you don't expose them to light. So there's a hot tip is you do manage to grab one of these 'cards'. The exhibition prints are made with very stable pigment inks and I've had nearly three years with them and can confirm they are very stable, archival inks. It's great to have a use for these test prints as exhibition cards and they are all a little different. But alas, not stable.
